I think I had just finished reading Homestuck at the start of this year, and that was massively influential on (among other things) my art style and the way I drew certain things like humans (most of my drawings before this were of Pokemon and other distinctly non-human things). It also influenced which subjects I drew at the time, as you will see shortly.
Also, because so much of my work was in un-timestamped """"work-in-progress"""" files, some of these may not actually be from 2021, and I'm just guessing they are. Whoopsie doodle.
I drew Nepeta a lot during this time. She was (is) one of my favorite characters, and her design was (is) fun to draw. What can I say, I like silly, gray catgirls with amber eyes who wear clothes that are too big for them.

Early rendition of the dream Banana Bread has in the Pastry Parodyme where he sees all the planets bleeding. I still imagine the "etherspace" to be teal for everything that exist inside of it, and dull purple for everything in the physical world.
Early concept art of some Mosses from the Pastry Parodyme. At this point they were exclusively sphagnum moss.
The three transparent characters from season 1 of Jacknjellify's Battle for Dream Island. Had fun with the highlights and the small color palette.
Bird's-eye view of an island that I think was supposed to be Porta. The island itself is hilariously under-detailed, but the clouds look pretty neat.
Often when I got frustrated with drawing, I'd draw some simple, silly thing of a character I'm familiar with and put an abstract color background behind it. I don't exactly remember, but this was probably one of those times.
More Homestuck. I used that rough ink brush preset on a lot of other drawings from this year.
Art I made for Jade Harley Homestuck's birthday. She was (is) also one of my favorite characters who I drew a lot.
