Pastry draws

Old

I've been drawing for years now, so of course I have some drawings from years ago, and of course a lot of them don't look so good. Some due to lack of trying, most due to lack of experience. Still, when looking at your own drawings, I think you should measure them by how enjoyable they were to make, instead of just weather or not they look good.

Bread man

Oldest known image of my character who is now known as Banana Bread. This incarnation is chubbier, with beady eyes and no limbs. There is a luminescent outline around him, and he is suspended in a teal space with the word "BREAD" repeated in the background in a desaturated shade of teal, for some reason.

Should also be noted that this image was improperly upscaled and will look slightly wonky if you look up close. A properly downscaled version can be seen here

Kitteh

This is the drawing that caused me to really start drawing. Someone at a D&D session drew a cat on a whiteboard and I was compelled to take a photo of it and trace it using my sister's drawing tablet afterwards. As such, I consider this to practically be my first digital drawing, even though I've probably done a couple ones in the past.

Popplio 01

This one I consider my first digital drawing which wasn't a trace of someone else's, although I did use very heavy reference. You can see I took note of issues I observed when I made it. A large portion of my early drawings were of Popplio.

Hubert

First attempt at drawing a human person. Honestly it doesn't look too abysmal, but I think that was mostly by chance.

Bulbasaur

The first drawing I uploaded online, on my DeviantArt page. Very janky.

Popplio night

First background. I guess I've always loved drawing the ocean.

Step

First drawing made in Krita. Unidentified ruffian standing at a wide angle around the edge of a wall.

This man

Playing around with filters and stuff. Put a small guy in the middle of the madness.

The breads

Banana Bread himself, along with many other breads: White, Wheat, Rye, Pumpkin, Pretzel, Corn, Baguette, and the Garlic Bread Boy.

Scribble board

I opened up a canvas and said I would fill it with scribbles. It took ages to fill this 1000x1000 canvas, and now I'm having trouble fitting things in a 4096x4096 doodle board. I think that's a sign of growth.

Boy, that's a lot of other people's characters to list. You know what?

All non-original characters, designs, and logos belong to their respective owners. No infringement is intended.

Maybe I'll fix it later - especially if actual legal confrontation shows up - but it should suffice for now.

Old Epic reference

An attempt at a character reference sheet. I think it still looks kinda nice, and that neon sign still holds up today.
