Delving into the Macbook Air
As you may know, I have an 11-inch Macbook Air with a screen that turned to goop. It used to be my daily driver, but now it sits in neglected places doing nothing. But it still has some data on it I never bothered to back up anywhere else, so today I took it out to try and retrieve that data.
- Get it powered on
- SSH into it
- Get data on the Mint partition
- Get data on the MacOS partitiom
Congratulations on finding this page! Hope you found the maze fun. Given how relatively small this site is, the odds of you in particular making it here are quite slim, I'd say. So slim, in fact, that I whipped up an award for you to take with you.
Go ahead and download it as a token of your accomplishment. Maybe put it on your own site if you can find the space for it.
As for the page itself, it's quite unfinished, and I think it's going to stay that way. I managed to get SSH'd in and pluck some files off, but whatever data is stuck on the MacOS partition, I don't think is worth the trouble.
Actually, you know what? You can have the Macbook.
Go on. It's not like I'm getting any use out of the thing, just look at it. In fact, it may make a better trophy to put on your site since it's smaller and more subtle than the award.
