More update musings
Just finished the dailyshinximage section (finally) but I've got a couple more ideas for some changes.
First, I've been working on this site using my laptop the whole time, but I'm gonna move the offline copy to my Mac Mini so I can work on it from there. The Thinkpad's battery has been practically dead for some time now, and it's kind of a hassle to use (I'm currently typing this on the kitchen counter since I can't unplug it.)
Second, I want to update the site-generating script I have. Currently, all it does is insert text from other files where the page says to, but it shouldn't be too hard to make it just run whatever command I want and insert the output.
Third, I'm still not entirely satisfied with how the home page is. I think I want to go back to it being a mini index of the most important pages of each section, instead of having the sidebar menu I have now. Plus, that would make it look better on browsers with no CSS support. I think the vast majority of users probably wouldn't care about that, but given how simple the site's content is, there's no reason it shouldn't be able to work with old browsers.
Lastly, a couple content ideas: fix up the shell script page, and make a page for the weird alphabets I've made.
I should really get to making the other content updates I've been meaning to make, but I'm at least going to move the offline site first, because I'm tired of standing at this kitchen counter.
